🏉 Rugby Rob’s Report: Yate U16s Start Strong with Win Over Kingswood

What a way to kick off the season! Our Yate U16s took to the field against a tough Kingswood side last weekend and came away with a fantastic victory that was built on belief, focus, and enjoyment – three words that summed up the day perfectly.

The real highlight wasn’t a single try or tackle – it was the team belief. From the very first whistle, the lads genuinely believed they could win, and they carried that confidence right through to the final whistle. Even when the game tightened up at halftime, there was no panic. They stuck together, worked as a unit, and had each other’s backs throughout.

If preseason was about hard graft, today showed the rewards. The forwards have been putting in serious work on scrums and lineouts, and it paid off in style. The lineouts were sharp and accurate, giving us the platform to build. Around the park, the pack were relentless – driving, carrying, and laying the foundation for everything good in the performance.
