At 44, Andy shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, his dedication to the club only motivates him to continue playing and helping Yate Rugby grow season after season. "I still get a kick out of showing the young lads a thing or two that the old man’s got in the bag!" he says with a grin. His commitment is an inspiration to younger players, reminding them that rugby is not just a sport but a lifelong passion.
One of Andy’s most memorable moments at Yate Rugby highlights the club’s strong sense of community. "I think back to when we did the Christmas food bank collection for a local charity. The donations wouldn’t even fit in one car! The players and families really dug deep to help those less fortunate in the Yate area, showing what community support really means." This is the Yate Rugby spirit—coming together, not just on the pitch, but in service to the local area.
