What a fantastic day of rugby for Yate Rugby Academy’s Under-9s at the Bristol Bears Community Day on the 22nd! Our young stars took part in an exciting touch tournament, showcasing everything we love about rugby—teamwork, skill, and sheer determination.

A Flurry of Passes, Amazing Runs & Well-Earned Tries!

From the very first whistle, our Under-9s gave it their all. There were lightning-fast breaks, pinpoint passing, and some brilliant tries that had parents and supporters cheering from the side-lines. Their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment were incredible to watch, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they played.

A Day to Remember for Players & Parents

It wasn’t just the kids who had an incredible time—the parents were absolutely buzzing with pride! Watching their children play with such confidence, enjoyment, and sportsmanship made the whole day even more special. The smiles, the high-fives, and the team spirit were unforgettable.

A massive thank you to Coach Pete, whose guidance, encouragement, and passion continue to inspire this team week in, week out. And a special mention to Sebastian Kitson, one of our Under-13s players, who took his first step into the world of coaching as Pete’s support coach for the day. Pat Lam, watch out—we’ve got a future coaching superstar in the making!

Topping It Off with a Bristol Bears Win!

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we all got to watch the Bristol Bears take on Exeter Chiefs in a thrilling match—and what a game it was! The Bears put on a fantastic performance to secure the win, giving our young players a chance to see top-level rugby in action.
